Disasters are well known in this town,
Most recently in December.
When hot and cold winds swirl around,
The result is a massacre.
Who knew something so frail could do
The damage that took place that night?
The best disaster there is has been
Here hiding in plain sight.
Earthquakes, fires, hurricanes
Have reputations that don’t help them much.
Tsunamis are hard to explain
But Campbell Lane has that special touch:
My first off campus taste of food,
Of friendship, and good quality time.
This wave has never let me down.
Its tofu is a favorite of mine.
Whenever family comes to stay
And ask where we should go to eat,
I tell them of the best disaster
That’s located right down the street.
Everflowing teriyaki
Small town feel with lighting that’s warm-
Though the rest cause great ruin
Tsunamis are my favorite storm.
